QUEST Mt Maunganui Hotel Payment and Cancellation Policy
- Hotel bookings are secured with NZD$150 deposit paid online with your entry
- An invoice will be issued for the full amount to be paid by 1 November 2024
- Hotel bookings may be cancelled for any reason up to 1 November 2024 – we will refund your deposit less 10%
- If you cancel your hotel booking after 1 November 2024 all deposits and balance amounts are non-refundable. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
- All cancellations must be in writing.
TERMS OF COMPETITION
The 2025 Bay of Plenty 5 Course Classic (“the Tournament”) shall be under the management and control of PaR nz Corporate Events Limited T/A PaR nz Golfing Holidays, as the tournament directors, along with a representative from each of the five host clubs (Mount, Omanu. Omokoroa, Tauranga, Te Puke), forming the Tournament Committee whose decision on all matters relating to the Tournament shall be final.

Eligibility
- Entry Requirements
- The field is limited to the first 400 entries received.
- Entries will only be accepted with full payment.
- Entries will be taken up to the tournament date unless filled prior.
- Entries shall only be received online
- All golfers will receive an electronic confirmation of entry and payment receipt.
- The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to any person, without providing a reason. All such decisions will be final.
- Format
- The Tournament will be a 90-hole single Stableford event (five rounds played over the five golf courses as per the rotation published).
- Players will be split into handicap divisions by gender. Final divisional splits will be determined when all entries are received and calculated on a proportional basis. Final divisions will be published online on Monday 20 January 2025 for Round 1.
- All golfers will be placed in equitable sized daily playing Groups at their preference (i.e. Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, Group 4). This information will be published by 31 December 2024. In the case of oversubscription, golfers will be allocated on an entry received date priority.
- The official draws for the tournament week will be published online by 5pm Wednesday 15 January 2025 www.bop5courseclassic.golfgenius.com
- For the daily draws, players will be grouped in the same tee group with their nominated friends for 1 round and mixed for the remaining 4 rounds.
- Scorecards
- Details of score card returns will be provided at tournament registration and may include the use of electronic score cards.
- Results
- Fun prizes will be awarded daily.
- Overall winners will be determined by the highest aggregate of Stableford points over the five competition rounds by division.
- Overall winners will be announced during the Farewell Prize Giving Function on Friday 24 January 2025.
- Players may win more than one daily prize across the competition rounds.
- Players may only win one aggregate prize.
- All prizes will be distributed in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Golf Status.
- Handicaps will change daily as per the World Handicapping System.
- The Tournament Committee, in consultation with Golf New Zealand, reserves the right to check all scores daily and to make further adjustments where a player is significantly playing below their handicap.
- All results will be published live on the website leader board www.bop5courseclassic.golfgenius.com
- Ties
- In the event that players are tied, a count-back to determine the daily winners or placegetter will be conducted over the last 18 holes will be counted, and if still tied then the last 9 holes, then the last 6 holes, then 3 and then the last hole played. If still tied, the count-back will be decided by lot.
- After 5 rounds, In the event that players are tied, a count-back to determine the overall winners or placegetter will be conducted over the last round of 18 holes will be counted, and if still tied then the last 9 holes, then the last 6 holes, then 3 and then the last hole played. If still tied, the count-back will be decided by lot.
- Carts
- Limited carts are available at each course. In case of an over subscription, and where the number of carts is limited, priority will be given to those with a valid medical reason who may be asked to produce a medical certificate.
- General
- The Tournament will be played under the Rules of Golf, the Terms of Golf and local rules at the respective golf course.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
The following are general booking conditions for The Bay of Plenty 5 Course Classic Committee comprising of a representative from Mount, Omanu, Omokoroa, Tauranga, Te Puke Golf clubs and PaR nz Corporate Events (Trading as PaR nz Golf Holidays) effective 15 September 2024 and pertaining specifically to the 2025 Barfoot & Thompson Bay of Plenty 5 Course Golf Classic, Monday 20 January – Friday 24 January 2025.
All terms and conditions including payment schedules are set as per supplier terms which have become more stringent and, with limited, if no, flexibility after COVID.
If for reasons outside of our control, the Tournament Committee has to cancel the 2025 tournament, an alternative will be offered or postponed arrangements advised. The options are all subject to time frames that may or may not be within our control but at all times the Tournament Committee, unreservedly, looks to be fair and reasonable with all clients providing funds paid on your behalf can be retrieved from our suppliers.
The Committee are aware of the rights of consumers and will at all times comply with all obligations and requirements of the laws of New Zealand as they apply to The Committee and are relevant to any booking completed in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Registration with payment of the required deposit or payment in full constitutes your acceptance of all Booking Conditions and / or Terms of Competition for the relevant tournament. The balance of payment for the remaining package is detailed and dated. Failure to make these further payments may result in the cancellation of your place, with NO refund being issued. Visa and Mastercard are accepted credit cards for payment online.
GENERAL
- The Committee reserve the right to change the programme and function venues based on advice at the time.
- The Committee reserve the right to change golf courses and venues to that which is advertised providing a replacement of a similar standard is substituted.
- All travellers are responsible for any damage to hotel & golf club property including any damage in hotel rooms and / or golf carts.
- The Committee accepts no liability, cost or penalty for any loss to any client as a result of the failure for any reason of any third party to provide services that may be included in terms of any booking made under these conditions.
- For accuracy, Bookings Conditions as stated at the time of booking with your payment are the conditions for which you have agreed, regardless of any general notations recorded on the Bay of Plenty 5 Course Classic website.
- The Committee reserves the right to decline registrations for any programme. A decline of registration would be exercised in exceptional circumstances only and after due consideration.
- All events, tours and tournaments hosted by The Committee will be conducted according to the COVID-19 protocols advised by the respective Government, of the countries where the event is being hosted. These protocols are subject to change at any time.
- All golfers play on each course under their own responsibility towards others and all equipment.
TRAVEL RISK & TRAVEL ADVICE & INSURANCE
- All travellers registered with the required deposit or event payment, travel at their own risk.
- The Committee, sponsors, hotels, host golf clubs and other suppliers of goods or services accept no liability for any death, injury, property loss or damage incurred during or arising out of any aspect of the conduct of the tour or tournament.
- The Committee strongly recommends comprehensive medical and travel insurance is taken by each person travelling, especially internationally to cover all eventualities, including hospitalisation and medical evacuation. Furthermore we suggest that all travellers check the maximum pay-out restrictions on their policy.
- You acknowledge that you are choosing to travel at a time where you may be exposed to COVID-19 and that your travel plans maybe impacted by COVID-19. It is your own responsibility to familiarise yourself with all relevant travel information, including health risks and travel restrictions, (covering border closures, quarantine and isolation requirements).
- You acknowledge that your decision to travel is based on your own consideration of this information and that you agree that you are aware and assume responsibility for all the risks associated with travelling at this time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability in relation to any of these additional risks.
HEALTH
- You must ensure that you are fully aware of any personal health requirements, and recommended precautions relevant to your travel booking, and ensure you carry all necessary vaccination documents.
- Acceptance of these terms confirms that you are in good health and able to travel, including on the proposed dates.
- Acceptance of these terms acknowledges that you have the necessary golf skills / handicaps for playing the included golf, (unless travelling as a non-golfer).
PUBLICITY, PRIVACY AND ELECTRONIC DATABASE MARKETING
- The Committee acknowledges your privacy is important. We will not share your personal information such as address, email and phone number with other clients or third parties without your consent or knowledge, and / or authorisation. All entries are recorded and held confidentially within the Golf Genius system. See separate Golf Genius conditions.
- The Committee may arrange media promotion and publicity before, during and after a tour or tournament. Competitors assent to references to them and pictures of them appearing and being used for purposes determined by PaR nz.
- By entering this you agree to be added to the tournament and PaR nz databases and to receive electronic on-going communications including email newsletters, electronic flyers, and materials as may be sent by post, including specific updates as they pertain to the event you have just entered.
CANCELLATION PROTOCOL
- Payment of monies received are fully refundable LESS 20% prior to 14 days of the tournament start date.
- Cancellations inside 14 days, 100% of fees paid are non-refundable or transferred to another PaR nz Golfing Holidays tournament in ‘special circumstance, subject to agreement.
- There are no refunds for any services where you cancel after the tournament start date.
- Conditions for hotel bookings made on your behalf may have specific booking conditions.
- The Committee cannot be held responsible if the golf course cannot be used because of weather conditions or unknown scheduled changes at the golf course. In all situations, faced with possible last minute situations, The Committee will attempt to provide a fast and acceptable solution or alternative.
DISCLAIMER
- The Committee has made every endeavour to ensure that all details are correct at time of printing but cannot accept responsibility for subsequent change or withdrawal of prices, details or services shown.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
- The laws of New Zealand govern this General Booking Condition document. In the event that there is a dispute regarding a booking, The Committee in the event where the matter cannot be resolved may appoint an independent arbitrator.
